Global Brand Building Across Animal Nutrition and Veterinary Categories
Brand Identity, Packaging Systems, Creative Direction, Product Portfolio

Overview
PT Nutricell Pacific is an Indonesian manufacturer of animal nutrition, veterinary, grooming, and agricultural products supplying both domestic and international markets.
The engagement began with the development of a small number of product brands and expanded into a long-term creative partnership spanning multiple categories. Over the course of the collaboration, I was entrusted with creating complete brand systems for an expanding portfolio of products intended to compete with premium international offerings while remaining commercially effective across different markets.
Working remotely from Lebanon, I led the creative development of every brand from concept through production-ready packaging, transforming fragmented information into coherent identity systems that could scale across products, languages, and export markets.
The Challenge
Unlike a conventional branding project focused on a single identity, this engagement required building an entire portfolio of independent brands from the ground up.
Information frequently arrived through fragmented references, legacy materials, and multilingual communication, requiring interpretation as much as execution. Product information often consisted of rough Word documents, low-resolution reference labels, or brief conversations outlining only the product name, nutritional positioning, and mandatory regulatory requirements.
The objective was not simply to design packaging, but to create premium brands capable of standing alongside established European products while serving different audiences, categories, and commercial objectives.
Scope
Over the course of the engagement, the portfolio expanded to include:
- 15 distinct brands
- More than 120 SKUs
- Hundreds of packaging files and production artworks
- Wet food and dry food systems
- Veterinary products
- Grooming products
- Wellness products
- Agricultural products
- Domestic and export-oriented markets
- English and bilingual packaging systems
- Multiple species, categories, and market segments
Each brand required its own identity system, communication logic, packaging architecture, and visual language while remaining commercially viable within its category.
My Role
Throughout the engagement I worked independently as:
- Creative Director
- Brand Strategist
- Brand Identity Designer
- Packaging Designer
- Copywriter
While product names and technical information were supplied by the client, every creative decision was developed independently, including:
- Brand identity systems
- Logo design
- Packaging architecture
- Information hierarchy
- Typography systems
- Color systems
- Graphic languages
- Iconography
- Illustration styles
- Product claims
- Headlines
- Taglines
- Packaging copy refinement
- Front, back, and side panel organization
- Scalable packaging layouts
- Production-ready artwork
- Marketing mockups used across advertising and communication
Every new flavor, size, or product extension was designed individually while remaining consistent with the identity system developed for each brand.
Differentiation At Scale
Creating one brand requires invention. Creating fifteen brands requires restraint.
Every identity was developed through its own visual language, communication style, hierarchy system, typography, color logic, and graphic vocabulary. Rather than repeating a successful formula, the objective was to ensure that each brand occupied its own territory while remaining commercially viable within the wider portfolio.
Internally, each brand was approached as its own creative universe. Typography, photography, illustration, iconography, color, composition, and packaging hierarchy were deliberately varied to ensure every identity felt distinctive without sacrificing clarity or usability.
Veterinary Precision
Alongside consumer packaging, the portfolio included Vet’s Advocate, a veterinary syringe range covering nutritional support, deworming, bone and joint health, gastrointestinal care, liver support, vaccine support, recovery formulas, and other clinical applications across multiple animal species.
Working within the extremely limited surface area of syringe labels required balancing regulatory information, dosage clarity, product differentiation, and immediate recognition while maintaining consistency across numerous variants and syringe sizes.
Working Across Markets
The portfolio served both domestic Indonesian distribution and international export markets, including dedicated product lines developed specifically for the Japanese market.
Several brands incorporated bilingual packaging systems, requiring information to remain clear across languages while preserving hierarchy, readability, and premium presentation.
Scalable file structures were also developed to accommodate evolving packaging dimensions and expanding product families throughout production.
Outcome
All brands were successfully launched into market, with products distributed across domestic and international channels. The collaboration expanded steadily as new brands and product categories were introduced throughout the engagement, reflecting the client’s continued confidence in the creative direction.
The result was not a collection of individual packaging designs, but a portfolio of independent brand systems, each capable of growing across products, categories, and markets while maintaining its own identity.
